The 2015 Harley-Davidson Breakout hails from the company’s popular Softail range, and is the fourth offspring in the family. It sports a low-slung, muscular design, accentuated by the drag type handlebar, chopped fenders, fat rear tyre and a large rake angle. As with all Softails, the motorcycle features a superfluous touch of chrome all over. All these combine together to give the Breakout the feel of a custom chopper, straight out of the production line.
1. The Breakout features Harley-Davidson's powerful air-cooled 103B twin-cam engine that displaces 1690cc, coupled to a six-speed transmission. The monster V-Twin produces an equally monstrous 130Nm of torque at 3000 rpm
2. Included in the list of standard features are the H-D Smart Security System, anti-lock brakes and the 3-in-1 rear lights.
3. Stopping power is provided by a new 4-piston fixed caliper, which incorporates 32mm and 34mm pistons that help bring the motorcycle to a stop with minimal lever action.
4. The Breakout retails for Rs. 16,28,00 (ex-showroom Delhi) and is available in three colours – Mysterious Red Sunglo, Hard Candy Quicksilver Flake and Superior Blue.
