Hero Motocorp, in a bid to maintain their leadership in the commuter segment, has launched an updated version of one of their most popular motorcycles, the Hero Passion Pro. The interesting part is that with this update, the bike not only gets cosmetic changes, but also gets a slight bump in power as well. According to Hero, the updated Passion Pro makes about 0.4 bhp more than the model it replaces, which is likely to translate to slightly improved performance.
The Passion Pro continues to be powered by a 97.2 cc engine, but it now churns out about 8.2 bhp @ 8000 rpm. Torque output stands at 8.04 Nm @ 5000 rpm. The Passion Pro shares this state of tune with the Splendor Classic café racer.
Cosmetic upgrades include the addition of a new brown colour scheme and a new 6-spoke alloy wheel design. Other colour options include red, silver, yellow, black and blue. The updated Hero Passion Pro will be available in 5 different variants, with the base model (kick-start with spoke wheels and drum brake) priced at Rs 47,650 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the top of the line variant (electric-start with alloy wheels and front disc brake) priced at Rs 52,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
