Kawasaki has launched a special edition of the Ninja ZX-10R in India. The 30th Anniversary Edition, which was unveiled in late-2014, is a variant that celebrates 30 years since the first Ninja-branded motorcycle, the GPZ 900R, was introduced.
The 30th Anniversary Edition ZX-10R gets a unique new white and green paint job and “30th anniversary” logos placed on either side of each headlight. Mechanically, the special edition remains identical to the standard version. It continues to be powered by the same 998cc liquid-cooled engine that delivers a power output of about 209.9bhp at 13,000rpm and a torque output of about 112 Nm at 11,500rpm. The superbike also comes fitted with a host of electronic systems to help the rider put down all that horsepower onto the tarmac.
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R 30th Anniversary Edition retails for a price of Rs. 15.90 lakhs (ex-showroom, Pune), which is about Rs. 20,000 premium over than the standard version.
