Mahindra 2Wheelers have launched a new front-disc brake variant of their Centuro commuter, in an attempt to increase the bike’s appeal. In the ever growing commuter segment in India, constant updates are necessary to stay on top of the minds of the consumers. The disc-brake variant will sit above the existing Rockstar, N1 and O1 variants.
The new variant will make use of petal type disc brakes. On the mechanical front, the bike remains unchanged. It will be powered by the same 106.7cc, single-cylinder engine that churns out 8.4bhp @ 7000 rpm and 8.5 Nm of torque @ 5500 rpm. This engine is mated to a 4-speed gearbox. The Centuro is known for its electrical and electronic feature list. A ‘Find Me’ feature helps you locate your bike in a crowded parking lot. The bike gets an anti-theft alarm with immobiliser and a remote flip key. In addition to this the Centuro also comes with a digital central console which displays useful information.
The top-of-the-line disc brake Centuro is priced at Rs. 52,210 (Ex-showroom Maharashtra) and is available for booking at Mahindra dealerships across the country.
