Indian cruiser giant Royal Enfield recently unveiled a new limited-edition motorcycle series at their new premium showroom in Khan Market, New Delhi. The changes are cosmetic and all 3 bikes come with unique paint jobs. The Squadron blue Despatch and the Desert Storm Despatch paintjobs will be for sale in India while the Battle Green paintjob is only available for export. Mechanically, the bikes are based on the standard Classic 500. The bikes are powered by a 499cc, single cylinder, fuel injected engine that develops 27.2 bhp at 5250 rpm and has a torque output of 41.3 Nm at 4000 rpm. This engine is meshed to a 5-speed gearbox.
Other than the bikes, the company have launched premium accessories, which can also be purchased online. They include riding jackets, riding boots, t-shirts and canvas bags. Other than the unique paint jobs, these bikes come with genuine leather seats, matte finish on the engine and silencer unit and leather buckle that supports the air box.
The Classic Despatch Edition bikes will go on sale on 15 July 2015, and will be exclusively sold on Royal Enfield’s online store. Stay tuned for more information.
