Triumph Motorcycles India has launched the limited-edition Rocket X cruiser in India today, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of its iconic super cruiser, the Rocket III.
The Rocket X is a limited production model, with only 500 bikes slated to be manufactured for worldwide consumption. The bike gets plenty of exclusive features which make it stand out from the standard Rocket III. For instance, it will feature a limited edition badge which is individually numbered from 1 to 500, to showcase the fact that it is indeed a limited-edition model. The fancy special edition badge is machined from solid aluminium.
The most noticeable feature on the Rocket X is the use of black all over the bike. The handlebars, rear view mirrors, and foot levers are all blacked out. The huge side-by-side twin exhausts are finished in heat-resistant black paint. The massive alloy wheels are also finished in premium black paint. Mechanically, the Rocket X similar to the standard Rocket III, employing a massive 2300cc in-line triple cylinder engine, which produces 146 bhp and a scarcely-believable 221Nm of torque from a low 2750 rpm.
