Harley Davidson today launched the Fat Bob, a cruiser from its Dyna range of bikes, here in India. Powered by a 1690cc V-twin engine that outputs 135 Nm of torque at 3000 rpm, the Fat Bob will be imported into India as Completly Knocked-Down (CKD) kits and assembled at Harley-Davidson's plant in Haryana, a move that considerably reduces import duties, which in turn reduces the retail prices.
Aimed at the tourers and posers alike, the Fat Bob is a true blue Harley-Davidson, with a low-slung seat, forward-set foot controls, covered from head-to-toe in oodles of chrome, and it comes with unique design features such as the twin-headlamps, a Fat Bob trait, drag-spec handlebar, and massive tires on the front and rear wheels. Expect quick acceleration thanks to the the high-torque 1690cc V-Twin engine.
The Fat Bob is priced at Rs 12.80 lakhs, ex-showroom, New Delhi, and is available in four colors, Candy Orange, Midnight Pearl, Black Denim, and Vivid Black.
