Ever since its launch in 2013, the Ducati 899 Panigale has experienced tremendous success both in terms of sales and fan following. Now, Ducati has officially launched the 899’s successor at the India Bike week, Goa. The new bike is none other than the 959 Panigale. The 959 was unveiled at the 2015 EICMA. The bike can now be booked in any of the Ducati showrooms in India. The company has also promised that a new showroom will be opened in the coming months.
The Ducati 959 Panigale is equipped with a 955cc engine that develops a peak power of 157 bhp and has a peak torque output of 107 Nm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox. The 959 Panigale gets twin disc brakes at the front and a single disc brake at the rear. ABS is standard on the new Panigale.
The Ducati 959 Panigale is equipped with the following features:
The Ducati 959 Panigale is priced at Rs. 14.04 lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi). This is a premium of about Rs.1 lakh when compared to the 899 Panigale. The large price tag is mainly due to the fact that Ducati is bringing in the bike as a CBU. The 959 Panigale looks good and has impressive specifications. The bike should do well in India provided Ducati follows up with good after-sales network.
