Iconic American motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson has revealed that they will launch two new cruisers in India on the 30th of October 2014. According to a teaser image that the company released on their official Facebook page, it will be the Softail Breakout, and the exclusive CVO Limited, both of which are featured on the teaser.
The 2015 CVO Limited comes from the American manufacturer’s Custom Vehicle Operations division. Incepted in 1999, Harley selects a few of its famous motorcycle models and goes onto create fully-customizable variants of these models with bigger engines, new graphic schemes and flashy additional features which are otherwise not found on the mass production models. Although CVO models are not light on your wallets, they are well worth the price for the features they provide. The 2015 CVO Limited will come with ABS brakes from Brembo, LED headlights, firmer 49mm telescopic forks and sees a lot of chrome-coated parts to give the motorcycle a sophisticated appearance. Powering the vehicle is Harley’s most recent 1800cc engine - the Twin cooled Twin Cam 110, which delivers a massive 155Nm of torque at 3750 rpm. This customized motorcycle from Harley Davidson can be expected to set your wallet back by a minimum of Rs. 50 lakhs, which could increase if you add items for the vast options list.
The 2015 Breakout will be an addition to the Softail range, featuring alongside the Fat Boy and Heritage Softail Classic. The motorcycle will come fitted with large bulky forks, flat one piece handlebars, ABS as standard and will be powered by the Twin Cam 96 engine, a 1690cc V-twin engine that produces 129 Nm of torque at 3000rpm. Considering that the Fat Boy retails at roughly Rs.15 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi), expect this motorcycle to be priced at a lakh or two more than that.
