If you had surfed through Hero MotoCorp’s official website anytime in the last few hours, you might have noticed something different in the product page. That’s right, there’s a new kid on the block. Hero has silently included a new model, the Hero Passion Pro TR, and it is going to be launched in India very soon.

Initially unveiled at the Auto Expo 2014, the Hero Passion Pro TR is essentially a dual-purpose variant of the Passion Pro, which comes with a few discernible additions to take on the rough roads. The multi-reflector headlight comes with a protective grill to withstand impacts, the handlebars come equipped with reinforced knuckle guards and a crossbar to give it some strength, a bash plate is provided to shield the engine from harm, and specially treaded tyres give it the necessary traction and stability on unsettling terrains. Additionally, the Passion Pro TR gets a high-mounted front mud-guard, knee pads on the tank for a better grip on the bike, and attractive new graphics.

Mechanically, the bike remains the same as the standard Passion Pro, which uses an air-cooled single cylinder 4-stroke engine with a displacement of 97.2cc, which outputs a peak power of 7.69 bhp @ 7500 rpm, a peak torque of 8.04 Nm @ 4500 rpm, and is mated to a 4 speed gearbox.

Our sources suggest that the Hero Passion Pro TR should be up for sale by October 2014, and that it will be priced under Rs 60,000, on-road.
