Hero to Launch Three New Bikes In India by September 2014!

By Harshavardhan Kylas

Hero MotoCorp is simply on a roll. It was only sometime back that they launched the Karizma and the Karizma ZMR and now, Hero MotoCorp Chief Pawan Munjal has said, “We will be rolling out 3 new bikes — the Passion Pro TR, Splendor Pro Classic and the Xtreme Sports — in quick succession over the next five-six weeks. We have already commenced dispatch of the Passion Pro TR to some key markets. There is surely going to be more as we head closer to the festive season, but I don't want to divulge everything at this time”. He further added, “The newly-launched ZMR and Karizma have created huge excitement in the market. We are confident that the Splendor Pro Classic with its cafe racer styling will also appeal to the youth”.

2014 Hero Splendor Pro Classic

The Hero Splendor Pro Classic, the Passion TR, and the Hero Xtreme were all unveiled to the public at the Auto Expo 2014 in Delhi. Being the only 100cc café racer style bike in production, the Splendor Pro Classic should add an extra dimension to the company’s range of bikes. The Passion TR should cater to those who require the efficiency and practicality of a commuter, but also prefer taking their bikes down the path less trodden.

Mr.Munjal also said, "All our new launches across segments are doing well. The Splendor iSmart in the deluxe commuter segment, the Pleasure scooter with young brand ambassador Alia Bhatt, and the new Xtreme, Karizma and ZMR in the premium segment have generated a lot of buzz among youngsters. The edgy and slick advertising campaigns of Xtreme and ZMR have appealed to youngsters and the young-at-heart. There will be more launches across segments backed by youth-based communication campaigns, as we head into the festive season”.

The Splendor is one of Hero’s best-selling bikes till date, and has helped them build their reputation and fortify their position in the Indian market. The recent advent of the new Hero Splendor i3s with the Idle Start Stop technology has had a good run so far. The upcoming new products will definitely help Hero MotoCorp to further cement themselves as unprecedented leaders in the commuter bike segment in India.
