Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) is undeniably the number one in the Indian scooter market, having conquered this segment effortlessly with their Activa selling like cupcakes. The company launched the Honda Dream series of bikes in an attempt to pilfer a portion of the market share in the extremely competitive commuter segment, and today, that move has paid off. Honda has managed to achieve the 10 lakh-unit sales of their Dream series in India.
The Honda Dream series has 3 bikes to offer, the Dream Yuga, Dream Neo and the recently-launched CD110 Dream, one of the most affordable motorcycles in India. All three bikes use the same 110cc air-cooled engine that whets out 8.25bhp of power and 8.63Nm of torque. Another inclusion in these vehicles is the Honda Eco Technology (HET), which the company claims to deliver optimum performance while ensuring fuel-efficiency remains unaffected.
Speaking on this achievement, Mr. Yadvinder S. Guleria, Vice President – Sales & Marketing, HMSI, said, “To enter the new era of Honda 2 Wheelers in India complemented by such a landmark is very special to us. We thank all our million dreamers for reposing their trust & confidence in brand Honda. With our increased network in rural India, we are confident Dream Series shall further expand its wings specially with our latest addition ‘CD 110 Dream’.”
To celebrate the achievement of this remarkable milestone, Honda has decided to present some exclusive offers to those customers looking to purchase a new Dream bike. This limited offer, available only on the Dream Yuga and Dream Neo, offers customers an attractive finance scheme up to 100% loan and free insurance. The offer will expire by the end of August 2014.
