Honda has (finally!) launched the much-awaited CBR 650F superbike in India today. After months of random spotting and rumours surrounding its launch date and price, Honda took the wraps of one of the most discussed motorcycle on internet forums at the Revfest, a special event happening simultaneously in eight cities across India.
The bike, imported as CKD units and assembled in India, is powered by a 649cc in-line four-cylinder engine, which develops a healthy 86 bhp, which should help it crack the 100 kmph mark in less than 4 seconds. The CBR 650F is more of a sports tourer, with relatively relaxed ergonomics, and will allow you to munch miles rapidly, in comfort. The bike comes fitted with C-ABS as standard, which should make it quite safe on our notorious highways.
Other features include a fully-digital instrument cluster, twin-disc brakes up front, underbelly exhaust, and LED tail lamps. The CBR 650F is priced at Rs 7.3 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), and will be sold exclusively in Honda’s premium ‘Wing World’ showrooms in 12 cities across India.
