Tuesday, 19 November 2013

The 2014 Indian Auto Expo, scheduled to take place from the 7th to the 11th of February 2014, will witness some of the most exciting bike launches to happen in recent times. Here's a quick look at all the new bike launches that are expected to happen at the Expo:

Bajaj

Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS FI

Bajaj is touted to unveil an all new range of Pulsar bikes. This will include the naked 180NS, and the full-fairing 200cc and 375cc bikes. Also expected are an updated Discover and Avenger series.

Harley Davidson

Harley Davidson Street 750

Harley Davidson will unveil the much awaited Street series bikes at the 2014 Auto Expo. With prices expected to be in the sub-Rs 5 lakh range, the Street 750 and the Street 500 will spearhead Harley’s renewed efforts to capture a substantial share of the premium bikes segment. The company is also expected to showcase its entire 2014 range at the Expo.

Honda

Honda CBR 300R

Honda is all set to unveil the CBR 300R sport bike at the Auto Expo. Rumours suggest that to fend the increasing competition in the scooter space, the company might also launch a brand new 125cc scooter, which could very well be the all-new Activa.

Hyosung

Aquila 250

The South Korean manufacturer may launch the Aquila GV250 cruiser in India at the 2014 Auto Expo, along with a naked version of the Comet GT250. Expect these bikes to be priced at around Rs 2.5 lakhs – Rs 3 lakhs, on-road.

KTM

The Indian launch of KTM’s two new full-fairing sport bikes, the RC200 and the RC390, is expected to happen at the Expo. The company might also showcase its complete international range of bikes, including the new 1290 Super Duke R and the new 1190 Adventure.

Mahindra

Two years after it was publically unveiled at the 2012 Auto Expo, Mahindra will finally launch the Mojo 300 at the 2014 Auto Expo. This will be the company’s first performance bike, and will compete against the likes of KTM’s 200 Duke and the Honda CBR 300R. It is reported that Mahindra might also launch a new commuter bike at the Expo, but not too many details are available on that front.
