Performance bike fans are in for a treat this summer – Kawasaki is all set to launch the new Ninja 300 in India on April 10th. The new bike will replace the popular Ninja 250R, which when launched in 2009, captured the hearts and minds of bikers in India who craved for an affordable multi-cylinder bike. The Ninja 300 is a completely new bike, with styling influenced by Kawasaki’s new design language, and is powered by an all-new 296cc parallel twin-cylinder engine that outputs 39bhp @ 11,000 rpm and 29 Nm of torque at 10,000 rpm, an increase of 6 bhp and 7 Nm over its predecessor.
The Ninja 300 features many improvements over the 250R, such as a dual throttle-body fuel injection system. a six-speed gearbox with slipper clutch, a larger 290mm petal disc front brake, stiffer chassis, updated suspension components, wider 140-section rear tyre, and a digital speedo console. An Anti-lock Braking System may be offered as an optional fitment.
The Ninja 300 Is expected to be priced in the region of Rs 3,60,000 (Ex-showroom). The bike will be available in Kawasaki’s signature green and white shades. Bookings have commenced in KTM Showrooms across the country, where Kawasaki bikes are sold in India
