Kawasaki, one of the biggest players in the Indian premium motorcycle segment, has commenced to accept bookings for the new Ninja H2 here. The company intends to launch the 200 bhp hyperbike in India in the first half of 2015, close on the heels of its international launch.
To refresh your memory, the Kawasaki Ninja H2 is the company’s flagship motorcycle, developed in collaboration with many specialist divisions from the Kawasaki Heavy Industries Group. It is the world’s first production motorcycle to be equipped with a supercharged engine. Combined with a whole suite of electronic rider aids and aerodynamic addendum, Kawasaki claims that the Ninja H2 will provide riders an experience unlike never before. Of course, all this isn’t going to come cheap – the Ninja H2 is expected to retail in India at around Rs 30 lakhs on-road. You can book yours today by paying Rs 10 lakh to your nearest Kawasaki dealer.
Which brings us to the question – should you buy one? Well, if you’re in the market for a superbike, and you’ve got a spare Rs 30 lakhs lying idle in your bank account, you should definitely consider the Ninja H2. It does not have any direct competitor, but it does fall within the same price range as the Aprilia RSV4 and the BMW S1000RR.
