That’s right! You heard it first on ChooseMyBike.in!

The Managing Director of Jai Bajaj, Chennai, Mr. Jayachandran, revealed at the Chennai unveil of the KTM RC390 that Japanese two-wheeler giants Kawasaki are all poised to release their naked street bikes, the Z250 and the ER-6n in India in the upcoming festive season of 2014!

To give you a brief outline of these bikes – The Kawasaki Z250 hails from the naked brawler family of the 'Z' series and houses a parallel twin-cylinder fuel-injected quarter-litre engine and is designed for quick urban commutes. Designwise, the Z250 looks essentially like the fully-faired Ninja 300 that's sold here, with a few distinct touches incorporated from the bigger 'Z' series bikes. Kawasaki currently offers the Z800 and the Z1000 to Indian customers as of today, and the inclusion of the 250cc bike should gratify customers looking for an affordable mid-capacity performance bike.

The Kawasaki ER-6n is the naked sibling of the ER-6f, better known as the Ninja 650R in india. It features a massive 650cc fuel injected engine with dual overhead camshafts for valve operation and outputs around 71.1 bhp of power at 8500 rpm and 61 Nm of torque at 7250 rpm. While the Ninja 650R with its sport and gritty looks earned a reputation for being a steadfast sports tourer, we expect the ER-6n to offer a nifty and dynamic racing experience.

Kawasaki’s line-up of bikes has always been known to burn a huge hole in your pocket, but let’s hope things might take a turn for the better this time around. We expect the Z250 and ER-6n to retail at around Rs 3 lakhs and Rs 4.25 lakhs (ex-showroom prices) respectively. Expect nothing less than exhilaration and performance from these mean machines!
