When KTM was introduced to India by Bajaj, apart from two-wheeler enthusiasts, not many people were aware about the company. Despite the relative lack of brand awareness, the Duke 200, the Austrian company’s first offering in the sub-continent, went on to be a big hit with the younger generation. With an aim to build a strong fan base for the brand, KTM has been very active in engaging its customers with events like the Orange Days and Orange Rides. In an attempt to further strengthen its image and improve brand awareness, KTM will showcase premium bikes from its international range to the general public in India. Products like the 350 SX-F motocross bike and the 1190 RC8 superbike will be on display at select showrooms across the country. KTM has planned a slew of new bikes for India in 2013, first of which is the 390 Duke, slated to be launched in April.
