Regal Raptor enters the Indian market


After UM motorcycles, another motorcycle company based in the USA, the Regal Raptor has entered the fray. The company has launched 3 cruisers in India, marking its entry into the largest two-wheeler market in the world. The company which traces its roots to china has launched the Daytona 350, the DD350-E-9B and the Bobber 350. The company has aligned itself with FAB (Fabulous and Beyond) motors to sell their bikes in India. An investment of about Rs.1000 crores will go into setting up a manufacturing plant in the state of Telangana. The company plans to commence operations in Hyderabad and eventually move on to other cities.

The Daytona 350 is the most subtle cruiser of the lot. It comes with modern looks with plenty of chrome detailing especially on the engine and the exhaust. The tall handlebars and the low set seats complete the package. The bike is intended to appeal to the younger generation. The DD350-E-9B is the most affordable bike in the line-up. This modern bike comes with black alloy wheels, chrome finished levers and exhaust and a back rest for the pillion rider. The Bobber 350 promises to offer an authentic cruiser experience with minimal body work. This light weight cruiser comes with matte finish paintjob, alloy wheels and a single seat. The seat is set lower than in the Daytona or the DD350.

All 3 bikes will be powered by the same 320cc water-cooled, twin-cylinder, fuel injected engine that develops 22.79 bhp at 8500 rpm and 22Nm of torque at 6500 rpm. This engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

The Bobber 350 and the Daytona 350 are similarly priced at Rs.3.23 lakhs and the DD 350E 9B is priced at Rs.2.96. All prices are ex-showroom Hyderabad.
