When the Continental GT was launched back in 2013, it created a lot of buzz as it enjoyed the status of being one of the most unique types of bikes in India - a café racer. The GT also had the privilege of being the fastest, lightest and the most powerful Royal Enfield bike ever produced.
Now, Royal Enfield has decided to offer the Continental GT with a new paint shade dubbed ‘GT Black’. The new solid black paint job looks classy and is expected to turn a lot of heads as you ride it around town. This will be 3rd colour option for the Continental GT, the other two being GT Red, and GT Yellow.
According to a senior official in the company, the black colour shade was introduced to capture the feeling of freedom and fun and it reemphasizes the company’s roots. Mechanically however, nothing has been changed, and the bike will continue to be powered by the existing 535 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. This engine develops about 29.1 bhp at 5100 rpm and the 44Nm peak torque is produced at 4000rpm.
The new paint shade will be available at no extra cost. The Continental GT is priced at Rs. 2.23 lakhs (Ex-Showroom, Mumbai).
