The replica of the iconic light cycle from the Hollywood movie, TRON: Legacy is up for auction. This is not just a collectible item but rather a fully-functioning replica, which means that one can actually ride it!
The light cycle will be powered by a 96-volt direct-drive electric motor coupled to lithium-ion batteries. It comes with a computer-controlled digital electronic transmission. The sleek and futuristic light cycle also comes with state-of-the-art features like ride-by-wire throttle, adjustable suspension system and hydraulic brakes. The light cycle is finished in black, with light strips that glow blue when lit.
The auction listing says that the light cycle will be in full working condition. The light cycle is aimed at high net-worth collectors of movie props. Since it is extremely unlikely that such a motorcycle would ever be produced, this auction presents a unique opportunity to own this one-of-a-kind memorabilia.
With no reserve price set, the TRON light cycle is expected to go for anything between Rs 15 lakhs and Rs 25 lakhs. The replica is part of a larger auction from the “Andrews collection”. The auction, which would be held on 2nd of May in Texas, will feature as many as 75 different vehicles.
