In the highly competitive scooter segment in India, Suzuki Motorcycles have tasted success due to the Suzuki Access. The Japanese giant launched the Swish 125cc scooter in early 2012 in order to strengthen its presence in this segment but the scooter has received lukewarm response from the Indian customer. In order to make the scooter appealing, the company has decided to launch a face lifted version of the same this month.
The list of possible upgrades include digital instrument cluster, tubeless tyres and alloy wheels. It is also highly likely to feature front disc brakes-a first for Suzuki scooters in India. The exterior styling will also receive mild tweaks to appeal to a wider audience. The scooter is expected to retain the same 125 cc, air cooled motor, which produces a power of 8.6bhp and torque output of 9.8Nm.
The updated model will have a slightly higher price tag than the current model on account of additional features.
