Italian premium scooter manufacturer Vespa has refreshed its portfolio for 2015 with cosmetic upgrades and addition of a new 150 cc engine. The scooters were launched in the presence of legendary Italian football player Alessandro Del Piero. Now, the company has a total of 5 products for the Indian market. They include the SXL 150, the VXL 150, the SXL 125, the VXL 125 and the Elegante.
The front end of the scooters has been extensively redesigned and now looks better than ever. The highlights on the scooters include chrome finished front headlamps, new indicator design, steel grab rail, redesigned tail lamps and an all new digital instrument cluster. The scooters get front disc brake as standard and wide tyres as an option. In addition to new features, the Vespas also get new colour options.
The VXL 125 and SXL 125 are powered by the same 124cc, air-cooled engine that develops a peak power of 10 bhp at 7500 rpm and has a torque output of 10.6 Nm at 6000 rpm. The VXL 150 and SXL 150 are powered by a 150cc engine that develops a peak power of 11.4 bhp at 7000 rpm and has a torque output of 11.5 Nm at 5500 rpm.
