Yamaha Saluto RX 110 - First Look

Japanese giant Yamaha Motorcycles has launched a new motorcycle in the heavily congested entry level commuter segment and it is the Saluto RX 110. The bike is basically a downsized version of the 125cc Saluto. During the previous year, Yamaha had discontinued the YBR 110 and the Crux. This bike aims to fill the void left by the Crux and YBR 110.

Visually, there is very little to differentiate the Saluto 110 from its 125cc counterpart. The design offers an upright riding position to the rider. The Saluto RX is equipped with features like electric start and alloy wheels. There is no disc brake on offer at the moment.

The Saluto RX 110 is powered by a 110cc, single cylinder, air-cooled engine that churns out a peak power of 7.4 bhp at 7000 rpm and has a peak torque output of 8.5 Nm at 4500 rpm.  This engine is mated to a 4-speed constant mesh gearbox. The engine is tuned to deliver good mileage; the claimed mileage is 82 kmpl. The Saluto RX 110’s fuel tank can store 7.2 litres of fuel.

Suspension and Brakes

Like most commuters, the Saluto RX 110 is equipped with telescopic front forks and coil spring, swing arm suspension at the rear. Both the front and rear wheels are equipped with drum brakes. Currently, no disc brake variants have been announced.


The Yamaha Saluto RX 110 is available in the following colours:

  • Breezy Blue
  • Matte Black
  • Inspiring Red
  • Gleaming Black
