Bajaj Discover 100T Features and Overview

The Bajaj Discover 100T is an entry-level commuter bike from the Discover series of Bajaj Auto. Powered by an air-cooled 102cc 4-valve single-cylinder engine, the bike incorporates many technological innovations developed in-house by Bajaj, such as ExhausTEC, and Digital Twin-Spark Ignition (DTS-i). Other features include alloy wheels, auto-choke, LED tail-lamps, gas-charged rear-shock absorber, flicker-free DC headlamp, pass light switch, and a low-maintenance battery.

The Discover 100T delivers a SIAM-rated mileage of 70 kmpl. It is priced at priced at Rs.48,343(ex-showroom, Delhi), and the colours available are blue, black/blue, red, and black/red.

The body panels are designed incorporating styling elements derived from the Discover 125 ST. Being a commuter bike, the Discover 100T offers an upright riding position with wide handlebars and middle-set foot pegs, which minimises stress applied on the rider's lower back and wrists.

It is powered by an air-cooled 102cc 4-valve single-cylinder engine that produces 10 bhp and 9.2 Nm torque. The bike incorporates some of the technological innovations developed in-house by Bajaj, such as Digital Twin-Spark Ignition (DTS-i) and ExhausTEC. Drive is transmitted to the rear wheel via a 5-speed gearbox, which helps the Discover 100T to cruise at a lower engine speed, thereby reducing the fuel consumed.

The bike is equipped with telescopic front forks and a pair of gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear. Although they use hydraulic fluid, gas-charged shock absorbers are better than pure-hydraulic units, as they improve the damping characteristics by reducing the build-up of air-bubbles in the fluid, helping to retain its optimum viscosity.

It employs a 130mm drum brake at the front, and a 110mm drum brake at the rear. A front disc brake option is not available.
