Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTS-i Features and Overview

The 2016 Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTSi is a performance bike from the Pulsar series by Bajaj Auto. It is powered by a 149cc engine that features Throttle Responsive Ignition Control System (TRICS III) and ExhausTEC, and is mated to a five-speed gearbox. The 150cc Pulsar comes with features such as LED tail-lights, digital/analogue console, gas-charged rear shock absorbers, front disc brake, electric start, and self-cancelling indicators as standard.

The 2016 Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTSi's SIAM-rated mileage is 62 kmpl. The bike is available in Midnight Black, Platinum Silver, Sapphire Blue & Cocktail wine red. The Bajaj Pulsar 150 price as of January 2016 is Rs.71,756(ex-showroom, Delhi).

Targeted at the youth population, the Bajaj Pulsar 150’s design follows a “macho” theme, with a big sculpted fuel tank and sharply styled tail section. The ergonomics of the bike seat the rider upright, with a wide handle bar and mid-set foot pegs that offer a relaxed riding experience.

The Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTSi is powered by a 149cc air-cooled single cylinder twin-spark engine, featuring Throttle Responsive Ignition Control System (TRICS III) and ExhausTEC, producing 14.9 bhp and 12.5 Nm torque, and is mated to a five-speed gearbox.

The Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTSi is equipped with telescopic front forks and a pair of gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear. Although they use hydraulic fluid, gas-charged shock absorbers are better than pure-hydraulic units, as they improve the damping characteristics by reducing the build-up of air-bubbles in the fluid, helping to retain its optimum viscosity..

The Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTSi employs a 240mm disc brake at the front, and a 130mm drum brake at the rear.

People who want a powerful bike for regular commutes over 50kms, with occasional highway riding, should consider the Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTSi. Check out the Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTSi review in the section below.

Good early power but lacks top end power. Too stressed engine. Mid corner stability is poor. Ideal for city commuting and occasional highway rides
