The 2016 K 1300 R is a 1300 cc super-naked bike imported and sold by BMW in India. The K 1300 R was introduced in October 2008 to replace the K 1200 R. The K 1300 Ris one of the most muscular looking bikes in India.
The 2016 BMW K 1300 R has eye catching details and an aggressive stance, which makes it appealing to motorcycle enthusiasts across the country. The dimensions are compact, which makes the bike very nimble and easy to manoeuvre in traffic. The bike has a bridge type frame with cast aluminium section. The bike offers the rider an upright riding position. This allows for a comfortable ride with minimal fatigue.
The BMW K 1300 R is powered by a 1293 cc, in-line 4 cylinder engine that churns out a peak power of 175 bhp at 9250 rpm and has a peak torque output of 140 Nm at 8250 rpm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox. The bike comes with fuel injection technology as standard.
The K 1300 R is equipped with BMW Motorrad Duolever with central spring strut at the front. At the rear the bike is equipped with Cast aluminium single-sided swing arm with BMW Motorrad Paralever, central spring strut with lever system. The suspension system does a commendable job in tackling road bumps.
The K 1300 R comes equipped with 320mm disc brakes at the front and 265mm disc brake at the rear.
