The 2016 S 1000 RR is a litre class super sports bike imported and sold by BMW in India. The S 1000 RR was introduced in April 2008 for the international markets. The S 1000 RR is one of the most powerful super bikes on sale in India.
The 2016 BMW S 1000 RR has eye catching details and an aggressive stance, which makes it appealing to street bike enthusiasts across the country. The dimensions are compact, which makes the bike very nimble and easy to manoeuvre in traffic. The bikehas a bridge type frame with cast aluminium section. The bike offers the rider an aggressive riding position. This allows for better aerodynamics and faster speeds in a straight line.
The BMW S 1000 RR is powered by a 999 cc, in-line 4 cylinder engine that churns out a peak power of 193 bhp at 13,000 rpm and has a peak torque output of 112 Nm at 9750 rpm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox. The bike comes with fuel injection technology as standard.
The BMW S 1000 RR is equipped with upside down, adjustable telescopic forks at the front. At the rear the bike is equipped with aluminium two-sided swing arm with adjustable rebound and damping. The suspension system does a commendable job in tackling road bumps.
The BMW S 1000 RR comes equipped with 320mm dual disc brakes with 4-piston callipers at the front and 220 mm disc brake at the rear.
