The 2016 Hero Glamour is a mid-segment 125cc commuter from the stables of Hero MotoCorp. Its 125cc engine employs Advanced Swirl Flow Induction System (ASFS) technology that aids in more efficient combustion of fuel, thereby increasing mileage without loss in power. The bike comes equipped with a digital-analogue speedo console as standard, with features such as electric start and alloy wheels, and a front disc brake available as optional extras.
The 2016 Hero Glamour's mileage is about 80 kmpl. The bike is available in five colours, Black with Frost Blue, Black with Sports Red, Black with Tornado Grey, Black with Vibrant Orange, and Candy Red Metallic. The Hero Glamour price as of January 2016 is Rs.55,925(ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Hero Glamour employs a trendy design that would appeal to the young executive commuter, its target group. The bike offers the rider a typical commuter-style upright riding position, which minimises stress applied on the lower back and wrists, thereby improving comfort while riding for extended durations.
The Hero Glamour is powered by an air-cooled single cylinder 124.7cc engine that outputs 9 bhp @ 7000 rpm and 10.35 Nm torque @ 4000 rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear-wheel via a 4-speed gearbox.
The Hero Glamour is equipped with telescopic front forks and a pair of hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear end. The rear shock absorbers can be adjusted to compensate for the load applied on the bike.
The Hero Glamour employs a 240mm front disc brake at the front and 130mm drum brake rear wheels.
People whose commutes exceed 50 kms a day can consider buying the Hero Glamour. Check out the Hero Glamour review in the section below.
