The 2016 Hero HF Deluxe is Hero MotoCorp s entry-level bike in the commuter segment. Powered by a new 100cc single cylinder engine, it comes with a host of new features like trapezoidal multi-reflector headlamps for enhanced visibility at night, multi-reflective tail light, 2-step adjustable shock-absorbers that can be set for either a comfortable ride or for carrying load, extra-wide seat for comfortable long-distance riding, electric starter, alloy wheels and styling accents like new 3D graphics and knee grip panels on the tank.
The 2016 Hero HF Deluxe's mileage is about 88.6 kmpl. The HF Deluxe price as of January 2016 is Rs.43,100(ex-showroom, Delhi), and is available in a host of shades such as Black with Red stripes, Black with Purple stripes, Boon Silver Metallic, Candy Blazing Red, and ClassyMaroon Metallic.
This HF Deluxe is targeted at the mass market, and is therefore styled conservatively, with clean lines and minimal graphics that would appeal to varied tastes. The bike offers the rider a typical commuter-style upright riding position, with wide handlebars and middle-set foot pegs, which minimises stress applied on the lower back and wrists, thereby improving comfort while riding for extended durations.
The Hero HF Deluxe is powered by an air-cooled 97cc single cylinder engine that produces 7.7 bhp and 8 Nm of torque, and employs a 4-speed gearbox to transfer power to the rear wheel.
It is equipped with telescopic front forks and a pair of hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear end. The rear shock absorbers can be adjusted to compensate for variation in the load carried.
The bike employs a 130mm drum brake at the front, and a 110mm drum brake at the rear.
Those looking for a bike primarily for commuting short distances (less than 40 kms per day) within the city should consider the Hero HF Deluxe. Check out the Hero HF Deluxe review in the section below.
