The 2016 Hero Hunk is a mid-segment performance bike from Hero MotoCorp. The bike is powered by an air-cooled single-cylinder 150cc engine.It is loaded with standard equipment such as digital/analogue speedo console, gas-charged rear shock absorbers, LED tail-lamps, tubeless tyres, toe-shifted gear lever and a front disc brake, with a rear disc brake offered as an option.
The 2016 Hero Hunk mileage is about 65.1 kmpl. The bike is available in Blazing Red, Bold Brown, Ebony Grey, Force Silver, Panther Black, Sports Red and Marine Green colours. The Hero Hunk price as of January 2016 is Rs.72,825(ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Hero Hunk is designed to appeal to the younger generation of buyers. The ergonomics of the bike seat the rider upright, with a wide handle bar and mid-set foot pegs that offer a relaxed riding experience.
The Hero Hunk is powered by a 149cc air-cooled single cylinder engine that outputs 14.2 bhp @ 8500 rpm and 12.8 Nm torque @ 6500 rpm. The power is transferred to the rear wheel via a 5-speed gearbox.
The Hero Hunk is equipped with telescopic front forks and a pair of adjustable gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear. Although they use hydraulic fluid, gas-charged shock absorbers are better than pure-hydraulic units, as they improve the damping characteristics by reducing the build-up of air-bubbles in the fluid, helping to retain its optimum viscosity.
The Hero Hunk employs a 240mm disc brake at the front, and a 220mm disc brake at the rear.
