Hero Splendor Pro Classic Features and Overview

The 2016 Hero Splendor Pro Classic is the Indian company’s first retro-themed motorcycle to be launched. It is the third café racer in India after the Royal Enfield Continental GT and the Triumph Thruxton.

The 2016 Hero Splendor Pro Classic mileage is about 90 kmpl. The bike comes in these colours – Solid Maroon and Carbon Black. The Splendor Pro price as of January 2016 is Rs.50,500(ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Hero Splendor Pro Classic's design has been inspired by cafe racers of the bygone era. The motorcycle has the attributes of a café racer with an aggressive forward bent posture. The solo seat and round side view mirrors add to its classic look.

The Hero Splendor Pro Classic puts to use a 97.2cc engine that produces 8.2 bhp of peak power at 8000 rpm and 8.05 Nm of peak torque at 5000 rpm. The engine is an air-cooled 4-stroke single-cylinder unit.A 4-speed gearbox sets the rear wheels in motion.

A telescopic hydraulic shock absorber suspension on the front and a rear swingarm with 5 step adjustable type hydraulic shock absorber features as the suspension units on the Hero Splendor Pro Classic.

The Hero Splendor Pro Classic uses a set of 130mm drum brakes at either ends.

The retro Hero Splendor Pro Classic will be apt for riders looking for a stylish 100cc commuter bike for short daily commutes and for zippy riding in city traffic. Check out the Splendor Pro Classic review in the section below.

Hero Motocorp has comfortably been on the top spot of the Indian two-wheeler market for more than 15 years in a row. What helped them to this position was their large range of commuters, which had enough products to cater to differing tastes and requirements. What they lacked though was the excitement factor – Hero’s commuters were all too staid and boring, both in terms of design and performance.
