Hero Super Splendor Features and Overview

The Hero Super Splendor is a mid-segment 125cc commuter from the stables of Hero MotoCorp. Its 125cc engine employs Advanced Swirl Flow Induction System (ASFS), a technology that aids in improving the mileage, without loss in power. It comes equipped with a new speedo console, electric start, black alloy wheels, clear-lens indicators and tail-lamps., and a front disc brake available as an optional extra.

The Super Splendor delivers an average mileage of 83.1 kmpl. It is priced at Rs 51,560 (ex-showroom, Delhi), and is available in six shades, black/purple, black/red, red, silver, black, grey and blue.

It employs a trendy design that would appeal to the young executive commuter, its target group. The Super Splendor offers the rider a typical commuter-style upright riding position, which minimises stress applied on the lower back and wrists, thereby improving comfort while riding for extended durations.

The Super Splendor is powered by an air-cooled single cylinder 124.7cc engine that outputs 9 bhp @ 7000 rpm and 10.35 Nm torque @ 4000 rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear-wheel via a 4-speed gearbox.

It is equipped with telescopic front forks and a pair of hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear end. The rear shock absorbers can be adjusted to compensate for the load applied on the bike.

It employs a 130mm drum brake at the front and rear wheels. A 240mm front disc brake is offered as an optional extra.

People whose commutes exceed 50 kms a day can consider buying the Hero Super Splendor.
