Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade Features and Overview

The 2016 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade is a litre-class supersports bike imported and sold by Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India. It is Honda s flagship supersports bike, and like other litre-class bikes, it too is a proper track-day tool. Built outright in the pursuit of lap times, the Fireblade s technology can be traced back to Honda s MotoGP winning race bikes.

The 2016 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade is priced at priced at Rs.15,96,480(ex-showroom Delhi) and is available in three colours Achilles Black Metallic, Victory Red, Pearl Sunbeam White.

The CBR1000RR s design was inspired by Honda s MotoGP race bike, and it shows. The fully-faired exterior helps it to cut through the air, while the twin-spar chassis gives it incredible agility. The seating is that of a typical sports bike with the rider leaning forward and the entire weight of the rider transferred to the wrists.

An inline four-cylinder 999cc engine powers the Fireblade. It outputs 177bhp and 112Nm of torque. Mated to a slick six-speed gearbox, it helps the superbike accelerate to 100kmph in 2.8 seconds, onto a top speed of over 280 kmph.

As is the case with all high end superbikes, the CBR 1000RR comes fitted as standard with suspension that s fully adjustable. The front utilizes a 43 mm dia. upside down telescopic fork, while the rear gets a linked-type monoshock with a gas-charged damper.

The Fireblade comes equipped with twin discs (320mm dia.) on the front , and a single 220mm disc on the rear wheel
