The 2016 Indian Scout is a high end cruiser from Indian Motorcycles that aims to deliver great performance and a comfortable ride. The Scout is the most affordable bike in the Indian Motorcycles line-up. The bike is equipped with features like digital instrument cluster, ABS and electronic fuel injection.
The 2016 Indian Scout is priced at Rs.11,99,000(ex-showroom Delhi) and is available in 5 colours-Thunder Black, Indian Red, Thunder Black Smoke, Wildfire Red and Indian Red(Only ABS). The bike should deliver an average mileage of 10 kmpl.
The Indian Scout has macho looks and is designed with plenty of attention to detail, which will appeal to motorcycle enthusiasts across the country. The bulk of the bike makes it a little difficult to zip through traffic. However, the dimensions are ideal for highway cruising. The Scout offers a relaxed, laid back riding position. This improves rider comfort and prevents fatigue while riding long distances.
The Indian Scout is powered by a 1133 cc, Liquid cooled engine that develops a peak power of 100 bhp at 8100 rpm and has a peak torque output of 97.8 Nm at 5900 rpm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox. The bike comes with fuel injection technology as standard.
The Indian Scout is equipped with Telescopic forks with dual rate pistons at the front and duel shock absorbers at the rear.
The Indian Scout comes equipped with a single disc, 2-piston calliper unit at the front and a single disc, single-piston calliper at the rear.
