Royal Enfield is an India-based premium brand manufacturing retro-designed cruiser bikes. The company was orginally founded in 1893 in Redditch, England, and produced motorcycles, bicycles, lawn mowers and stand alone engines.
In 1955, the rights to the "Royal Enfield" name were acquired by Enfield India, and production was shifted to Chennai. In 1994, the company was bought by the Eicher Group, under whom it operates to date.
Royal Enfield bikes enjoy a cult following around the world. and is a household name in India that is synonymous with enthusiast biking. Their most popular product is the Bullet 350, a bike that has been in continous production for over 6 decades
Royal Enfield currently has three distinct model lines, the Bullet, the Classic, and the Thunderbird which are manufactured in two facilities in Chennai, for sale across India and for export to over 22 countries.
