Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Features and Overview

The 2016 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 is a new higher displacement version of Royal Enfield’s iconic motorcycle. The bike is powered by a carburetted version of the Classic 500’s single-cylinder twinspark engine. The Bullet 500 comes equipped with standard features such as electric start, front disc brake, and a halogen headlamp.

The 2016 Royal Enfield Bullet 500's mileage is about 46 kmpl. The bike is available only in Forest green colour. The Royal Enfield Bullet 500 price as of January 2016 is Rs.1,50,480(ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Royal Enfield Bullet 500 employs typical cruiser design elements, accentuated by the long wheelbase and low seat height, both of which aid stability while riding at highway speeds.

The Royal Enfield Bullet 500 is powered by an air-cooled 499cc single cylinder engine that outputs 26.1 bhp and 40.9 Nm of torque. Drive is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox.

The Royal Enfield Bullet 500 employs telescopic front forks and twin gas-charged hydraulic shock absorbers. The suspension is set up moderately soft, optimized for comfort without compromising handling.

The Royal Enfield Bullet 500 uses a 280mm, 2-piston caliper disc brake at the front wheel and 153mm single lead internal expanding drum brake at the rear.

Those looking for a bike that can be used for the daily commute and for long rides on the highway may consider purchasing the Royal Enfield Bullet 500. Check out the Royal Enfield Bullet 500 review in the section below.

The Bullet 350 is Royal Enfield’s signature bike. It has been in continuous production for over 65 years, although numerous changes have been made over the years to make it a more contemporary machine, while retaining the old-school charm. The Bullet 350 doesn’t really excite on the performance front. In 2013, Royal Enfield launched a new 500cc version, which retained all the much-loved elements from the original Bullet, while adding dollop of power to the mix. We test the Bullet 500 to find out how it delivers.
