Suzuki Gixxer SF Features and Overview

The 2016 Suzuki Gixxer SF is the sportier version of the Suzuki Gixxer. It features a full-fairing, which aids in aerodynamics and protects the rider from wind blast at high-speeds. The Gixxer SF uses the same engine as the naked version, with no mechanical changes. The Gixxer SF has just one competitor in the market, the Yamaha Fazer.

The Suzuki Gixxer's mileage is about 65 kmpl. The bike is available in GP Blue colour. The 2016 Suzuki Gixxer SF price as of January 2016 is Rs.84,939(ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Suzuki Gixxer SF features a snazzy design, and incorporates an aerodynamic full-fairing for a sporty touch, and for protection from wind-blast at high-speeds. The bike offers a sporty seating posture which feels quite comfortable, even during long stints of riding.

The Suzuki Gixxer SF is powered by a 155cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that develops 14.6 bhp and 14 Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission.

The Suzuki Gixxer SF comes equipped with telescopic forks up front, and a hydraulic monoshock at the rear. This setup offers helps the bike impart a plush ride quality, while retaining the tautness necessary for confident cornering.

At first glance they look very intriguing – both are performance-oriented 150cc bikes that are targeted at the enthusiast on a budget. So, which one deserves your m ... ()

What difference would it make if you take a naked bike, and slap a full-fairing on it? Going by the number of heads turned, we’d reckon it’s quite substantial, especially in India. The bike in focus is the Gixxer SF, Suzuki’s latest contender in the sub-160cc performance bike space. We put it though our test routine to find just out how well it performs.
