TVS Scooty Pep Plus Features and Overview

The 2016 Scooty Pep Plus from TVS is its entry-level offering in the automatic scooter segment. It comes with an 87cc single cylinder engine and uses a Variomatic transmission. The Pep Plus comes with many features, such as LED tail-lamp, telescopic front suspension, front and underseat storage, mobile charger socket, easy-to-access fuel filler, and ergonomically-shaped seats.

The 2016 TVS Scooty Pep Plus mileage is about 67 kmpl. The scooter comes in a variety of colours, such as Night Black, Purple Mischief, Electric Red, Perky Pink, and Mystic Mauve. The Scooty Pep Plus price as of January 2016 is Rs.43,534(ex-showroom, Delhi).

The TVS Scooty Pep Plus employs a step-thru body style, which simplifies getting astride the seat and off it. The ergonomics offered is that of a typical scooter, with a feet-forward upright riding seating posture.

The TVS Scooty Pep Plus is powered by an 87cc air-cooled single cylinder engine that outputs 5 bhp @ 6500 rpm and 5.8 Nm torque @ 4000 rpm, and is mated to an automatic continuously variable transmission.

The TVS Scooty Pep Plus uses telescopic forks at the front, and a hydraulic shock absorber at the rear end. Telescopic forks offer more travel when compared to trailing-link type suspension, which improves the shock absorption characteristics, offering a more comfortable ride.

TVS Scooty Pep Plus fitted with 110mm drum brakes on the front and rear wheels

This Scooty Pep Plus is ideal for those looking for a scooter for commuting short distances (lesser than 30 kms per day) within the city, school students above 16 years of age, and those who are new to riding a motorized two wheeler.
