TVS Scooty Streak Features and Overview

The 2106 TVS Scooty Streak from TVS is its mid-segment offering in the automatic scooter segment. The Streak comes with an 87cc 5 bhp single cylinder engine and uses a Variomatic transmission. The scooter comes with many features, such as LED tail-lamp, telescopic front suspension, front and underseat storage, mobile charger socket, easy-to-access fuel filler, and ergonomically-shaped seats.

The 2016 TVS Scooty Streak delivers an average mileage of 67 kmpl. It is priced at Rs.45,540(ex-showroom, Delhi), and comes in a variety of colour combinations, such as purple/black, pink/black, red/black, orange/black, and green/black.

The TVS Scooty Streak employs a step-thru body style, which simplifies getting astride the seat and off it. The ergonomics offered is that of a typical scooter, with a feet-forward upright riding seating posture.

The Scooty Streak is powered by a 87cc air-cooled single cylinder engine that outputs 5 bhp @ 6500 rpm and 5.8 Nm torque @ 4000 rpm, and is mated to an automatic continuously variable transmission.

The Scooty Streak uses telescopic forks at the front, and a hydraulic shock absorber at the rear end. Telescopic forks offer more travel when compared to trailing-link type suspension, which improves the shock absorption characteristics, offering a more comfortable ride.

The Scooty Streak comes fitted with 110mm drum brakes on the front and rear wheels.

The TVS Scooty Streak is targeted at those looking for a scooter for commuting short distances within the city, school students above 16 years of age, and those who are new to riding a motorized two wheeler.

We’re in 2014, a year where it is common sight to witness brash 125cc and speedy 110cc scooters whirring on roads. A decade earlier, it had been little 2-stroke scooterettes trotting around on streets raucously, albeit at a snail’s pace. The Scooty ES was one of them, and was the best amongst the lot. It was the darling of countless teenage girls and young women all across the country, who loved it for its ease of use and practicality.
