The TVS Wego from TVS is its premium offering in the automatic scooter segment. The Wego comes with a 110cc single cylinder engine and uses a Variomatic transmission. The Wego comes equipped with many features, such as alloy wheels, LED tail-lamp, telescopic front suspension, front and underseat storage, easy-to-access fuel filler, and ergonomically-shaped seats. A unique feature about the Wego is the Body Balance technology, where the scooter has been designed in such a way that the positioning of the centre of gravity is optimized for even weight distribution for ease of manoeuvrability and stability at all speeds.
The Wego delivers an average mileage of 62 kmpl. The wego is priced at Rs 46,814 (ex-showroom, Delhi), and comes in a variety of colours, such as Midnight Black, Electric Green, Volcano Red, Sporty White, Mercury Grey, and Cappuccino Brown.
The Wego employs a step-thru body style, which simplifies getting astride the seat and off it. The ergonomics offered is that of a typical scooter, with a feet-forward upright riding seating posture
The Wego is powered by a 110cc air-cooled single cylinder engine that outputs 8 bhp @ 7500 rpm and 8 Nm torque @ 5500 rpm. The scooter employs an automatic continuously variable transmission, which makes it easy to ride.
The Wego uses telescopic forks at the front, and a hydraulic shock absorber at the rear end. Telescopic forks offer more travel when compared to trailing-link type suspension, which improves the shock absorption characteristics, offering a more comfortable ride.
The Wego comes fitted with 130mm drum brakes on the front and rear wheels. A 220mm front disc brake can be fitted as an optional extra.
Those looking for a scooter for commuting short distances (lesser than 30 kms per day) within the city, and those who are new to riding a motorized two wheeler, may consider purchasing the TVS Wego.
