Yamaha V-Max Features and Overview

The 2016 Yamaha V-Max from Yamaha is one of the three direct imports on sale by India Yamaha Motors. A mix between the cruiser and street-fighter body styles, the V-Max was a bike that was built in the pursuit of raw acceleration, rather than outright top-speed.

The 2016 Yamaha V-Max is priced at priced at Rs.25,65,000(ex-showroom Delhi) and is available in only one colour - Black.

The V-Max has an interesting design it looks part cruiser and part streetfighter. The intake manifolds on both sides and the dual exhaust cans give it an aggressive and intimidating look.

The V-Max is one of the most powerful bikes in production. Its 1676cc V-4 engine is capable of producing 198bhp of peak power and 166.8Nm of torque, which helps it to accelerate to 100kmph in under 3 seconds! The motorcycle is shaft driven and power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a 5-speed gearbox.

The V-Max comes equipped with beefy fully-adjustable suspension components - an upside-down fork on the front and a monoshock at the rear.

Braking is provided by twin 320mm discs up front and a 298mm rear unit.
