Trellis Frame Chassis

The trellis frame is similar to a twin-spar frame, except instead of the two flat beams connecting the steering head and the rear sub-frame, you have a number of beams welded in an arrangement that forms multiple triangular sections. This type of frame offers excellent rigidity while maintaining a low weight profile. Although they are tricky to manufacture, trellis frames do not require a high initial investment, which makes them the choice for many low-volume motorcycle manufacturers.
