Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC)

Traction Control is an electronic system that prevents wheel-spin resulting from excessive power being delivered to the rear wheel, or reduction in grip offered by the surface. It detects wheel spin via a wheel-speed sensor and sends the signals to a dedicated control unit to detect wheelspin. If wheelspin is detected, the control unit also takes into consideration many factors, like throttle input, engine speed and lean angle, and corrects the wheelspin accordingly to restore traction.
